Sessions at The Stretch Space
Everything you need to know before booking so you can get the most out of a session at The Stretch Space.
What does a session look like?
How long is a session?
A one on one session is either 60 minutes or 90 minutes and are semi private in that there may be clients coming and going from time to time. Our group classes are usually 75 to 90 minutes long and capped at around 7 people.
What should I wear?
The sessions are fully clothed and comfortable clothing that you can move freely in works best
I'm not sure which modality I should book?
All of our sessions include an element of our three core modalities of stretching, breathing and moving all with the goal of getting you moving better and feeling better. After a discussion and reviewing your intake form, we may lean more towards a dominant selection for the session. Starting out we usually tend to do a lot of hands on table based work (FST). As you progress this may change slightly. Some people have a specific need such as improving hip mobility for a race or improving breathing mechanics in which case the session would be catered more towards that need.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your goals. Typically we see good progress within 3 sessions. We also like to give home exercises that enhance the results and we tend to see that the clients who put in additional work see the biggest results. The other 23 hours in the day are just as important as your time with us.
