Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a method of assisted stretching that targets not only muscles, but the fascial nets within the body. Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds and interweaves muscles, bones, joints and all vital organs in the body. FST is designed to increase range of motion by targeting the entire joint capsule, using gentle traction and oscillation to remove restrictions from movement and to stimulate joint lubrication. FST is an effective treatment for people recovering from injuries, preventing injuries, increasing range of motion and creating a lengthened and free feeling throughout the whole body.

FST is performed on a massage table and uses stabilization straps to secure the part of the body that is not being worked on. Clients typically wear comfortable, athletic type clothing. An FST session is customizable to each client depending on their needs and goals. An FST therapist and client work together during each session, moving in and out of stretches while focusing on breath and sensory awareness. FST is a gentle yet deep approach to decreasing tension and increasing overall mobility with lasting results. After the table based stretching work your therapist may guide you through some off the table movements and exercises to help lock in the benefits and to give you tools to take home with you.
